The importance of dental check-ups

Comprehensive dental check-ups allow us to evaluate your oral health and develop a personalised treatment plan to keep you on the path to proper oral health. In addition, these check-ups allow us to implement preventative care that will ensure you avoid contracting any unwanted dental diseases.

We advise all our patients to visit us annually for routine dental check-ups. However, this may change slightly depending on whether you have recently had a dental procedure or have a particular condition.

What to expect at your dental check-up

Our resident dentist and oral hygienist will perform your dental check-up. We will ask you a few questions about your dental health and home before moving on to the examination.

The dentist will thoroughly inspect your teeth and gums and take several X-rays. This is to get a fuller picture of your oral health and the state of your mouth and jawbone. Once complete, we will update you on the state of your oral health, provide a diagnosis (if present) and prescribe treatment.
